Fantastic Four Make a Splash
From The Bath Chronicle Thu 25 Jun, 2009
The Royal High Junior School swept the board at the first ever Independent Schools Aquathon Championships, claiming the top four individual places and the team prize. Charlotte Penney was crowned the overall champion and was followed closely by fellow Year 6 pupils Sophie Langman, Isabel Dickinson and Kathini Logut. The quarter put in the four fastest times in both the 200m swim and the 1km run which made up last week's aquathon competition at Stonar School, Melksham. Clare Elsley, head of sport and PE at The Royal High, was 'stunned but delighted' by the success against 14 other schools. "This is truly a day for the girls to remember," she said. "They have all worked very hard to prepare for the event and gave everything. They are an inspiration to our younger athletes."
