Sisters Shine for Royal High

Sisters Sarah and Becky Haynes teamed up to finish third in the under-15s intermediate competition at the Avon Schools' Doubles on Sunday. The duo, pupils in Year 7 and 9 respectively at The Royal High, played some exceptional tennis to defeat pairings from Bristol Grammar, Badminton, Writhlington, Clifton College and King Edward's, with Sarah playing three age groups above her true level. Becky is part of the school's Abedare Cup team, who beat Beechen Cliff last week to go through to the area semi-finals of the national schools' competition. The team, which also includes Georgie Pool, Claudia Dickinson and Isabel Dickinson, will face Cheltenham Ladies College next week.
