Students Show the Way

From The Bath Chronicle Thu 24 Nov, 2011

Royal High Six students from The Royal High School have earned places in this year's Bath and North-East Somerset's School Sports Partnership Leadership Academy.  Kitty Hudson-Davies, Lois Watts, Shannon Drew, Maisie Palmer, Chloe Walsh and Isabella Morris, all of whom are GCSE PE students, attended their first training session at Wellsway School.  They took part in team building activities alongside Year 10 and 11 students from a number of BANES schools and were encouraged to be part of the 2012 Bath Half Marathon volunteer group as part of their new role.  The pupils were also given advice and information with which they have been set a task to assist with or organise an intra-school competition.  Director of Sport and PE, Zoe Sheffield said:  "We look forward to seeing our new leadership academy students in action around school.  Their first task of helping at the primary schools netball festival that the Royal High are hosting later this month, will be the perfect opportunity to test their organisation and leadership skills."
