Cookery Workshop For Junior Schools

Enthusiastic cooks, inspiring staff and state of the art facilities are all excellent ingredients for a successful Year 5 cookery workshop ! 20 keen amateurs from five different schools came to the RHS on Saturday 20th June to learn how to cook Shortbread masterpieces. They really did produce works of art that would be an impressive finale to any feast! Using a selection of coloured icing, hundreds and thousands as well as other tasty toppings, they decorate their biscuits to make colourful tea time treats. However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and we are reliably informed that all the goodies went down a treat. Our teachers commented on how sensibly the children worked – a pleasure to have in the kitchen!
