Year 2 Visit to Bath Aqua Glass

Year 2 had a great time at Bath Aqua Glass today. After walking through the park the girls were fascinated to learn about how glass is made. They looked at the hot, fiery ovens which keep the glass as a liquid and then watched as the glass blowers made a vase. We saw how it went into different ovens which helped the vase to change shape. Meadow, Olivia, Georgia A and Georgia K-W all had a go at blowing a glass bubble and were very excited as they watched it get bigger and bigger. We also learnt that glass is very stretchy and were fascinated as we saw a piece of glass being stretched as thin as a piece of hair! Miss Noble and 2N.
