Uniform: The Senior School
SENIOR SCHOOL UNIFORM
Please note that the uniform changed in September 2010. Students may wear the older style uniform or any combination of old and new until September 2012 when all students will be expected to be wearing the new uniform.
We have a New and Second Hand uniform shop on site (see details under 'uniform overview') . Please call 01225 422931 for appointments, opening hours or any other information.
Items marked with a * must be purchased from one of the School Uniform Shops
Indoor uniform
- Skirt-Bedford check, wrap around style to be worn on or marginally above the knee*
- Blouse-white, long or short sleeved with revere collar*
- Jumper V-neck, Royal Bath blue with logo and navy trim for Years 7-9, or dark navy blue with Bath blue trim and logo for Years 10&11.
- Plain navy or black tights
or knee length navy socks
or short white or navy ankle socks
Shoes: These should be strongly made with good grips on the soles, and designed to stay on the foot. They should be plain black. High heels, platform soles, boots, trainers, ballet style or canvas shoes are not permitted.
Outer uniform
When travelling to and from school in uniform, students may wear one or more of the following:
- Navy fleece with school logo*
- Navy School winter coat*
- A plain navy waterproof cagoule*
- School navy fleece scarf, gloves and hat (optional)
It is not acceptable for students to a wear any other coats with their uniform.
A strong backpack for carrying books to and from school is strongly recommended.
Sports kit
- Hoodie - royal blue and white with school logo*
- Polo Shirt - royal blue and white with school logo*
- Tracksuit Bottoms - navy with school logo*
- Skirt - royal blue and white with school logo* (worn for hockey,netball,tennis & rounders)
- Base Layer - royal blue with school initials*
- Shorts - navy blue with school logo* (worn for dance,gym & athletics)
- Rain jacket - royal blue and white with school logo* (optional)
- Athletics Vest - white and royal blue with school logo* (optional)
- Hockey Socks - navy and white hoops* (worn for all sports)
- Hockey Socks - white kukri socks (1st team hockey players only)
- Sports Socks - white ankle (optional)
- Sports Bag - navy ith school logo and carrying handle* (optional)
- Shin Pads - for hockey
- Mouthguard - for hockey
- Trainers - predominantly white
Swimwear
- Swimming Costume - royal blue with school design*
- Swimming Hat - royal blue with logo* or without logo
- Towel
- Flip-flops
- Swim bag - with waterproof lining
- Goggles
Boarders will be sent a comprehensive list of additional clothing and equipment

General Instructions
- All uniforms including shoes and trainers must be clearly marked with name tapes (for boarders all items of clothing and equipment MUST be named).
- Jewellery must not be worn during the school day or with school uniform.
- Girls who have pierced earsmay wearone single stud earring in each ear. No bodypiercing of any other sort is acceptable.
- School uniform must be worn by all girls when coming to and from school.
- Rulings about uniform on school outings are made to fit the occasion.
- Hair must be tied back for sports, science, food technology and design technology.
