We are exceptionally proud of our Performing Arts and of the fact that each and every one of our girls has the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of 'putting on a show', from acting, dancing and singing (sometimes all at the same time!) to costume and set design, playing in the orchestra, creating make-up and helping with the sound and lighting. Our productions create a buzz not only in the school, but in and around Bath on regular occasions and are the 'hot ticket' in town.

We produce an annual show and also present musical, dance and drama productions throughout the year. Many of our girls join the choirs and are involved in inter-school performances and festivals, such as the annual Mid-Somerset Festival which celebrates speech and drama, music, literature and the performing arts.

Recently our girls joined forces with a sister GDST school, Howell's, from Cardiff, in 'Singing across the Severn'; our productions of 'Alice in Wonderland' and this year, 'The Jungle Book' received rave reviews; and our girls are also regularly involved in singing and musical assemblies.

We support our gifted musicians and actresses to excel, but also make sure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of performing and the richness it can add to learning through connections to art, literature, history, design and dance for example and for the way it can strengthen values of teamwork and collaboration.
