Dolphin Are Splash Hits

From The Bath Chronicle Thu 6 Oct, 2011

Swimming Bath Dolphin members made a splash as they began their competitive season at the annual Bristol North Open Gala, held over two weekends at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-super-Mare.  The squad rose to the occasion against some of the region's top teams, taking five gold, five silver and eight bronze medals back to Bath and producing many other impressive placings and personal best times.  Trophy winners from Dolphin on the first weekend were Laura McNab in the 50m freestyle, the girls' medley relay team.  The club's week two winners were McNab, again, in the 50m butterfly.  Silver went to Izzy McNab in the 100m breastroke and  Bronze went to Laura McNab in the 50m breaststroke (week one).  Laura Mcnab is a pupil at The Royal High Schol, as are fellow Dolphins Clayton, Natasha Reid and Daisy Ison, and PE teacher Irena Molly was proud of their achievements.  "They train really hard and show great commitment.  Three of them were also involved in school hockey matches in the morning but still gave everything in the pool.  Laura's results were amazing."
