Rounders Triangular Festival

23 June 2010 – U10 A/B and U11 A/B

The Royal High Junior School fielded four teams in this Rounders Triangular Festival, hosted by the RHS at Ch’ill and involving Stonar and Monkton Combe Preparatory Schools. The afternoon provided lovely conditions for the matches with super sunshine with a slight breeze. The conditions of the afternoon belied the task ahead and the RHS teams faced competitive, competent opposition for the duration of the festival. Requiring swift and deft fielding skills and key decision making from the batters, all four RHS teams worked hard to rise to the challenges they faced in each match. Whilst enjoying some good moments of fielding prowess and scoring rounders for their team, the RHS girls could not match their opposition and came away with just one win for the afternoon. Well done to all girls for their continued efforts throughout the afternoon, whilst not winning the matches, you won in spirit.
