Netball Fixture v All Hallows School

The U11 A Team
The U11A Team worked particularly hard on mixing up their passes and were determined to try something new for this game. With the girls ready and raring to go at the whistle, it was clear that they meant business. With passes a little astray for the first few minutes, the girls started to settle and find their rhythm. With balls moving accurately and at speed down the court, the opposition were left questioning what they could do to stop them. With good movements into and out of the circle, and use of the ‘triangles’ at the top of the circle edge, the girls moved the ball with great variety to open up good space to create shooting opportunities at goal. In defence the girls worked relentlessly to stop balls getting near the post. Everyone should be very proud of their performance, although there is still a lot of work still left to do. Well done to all those involved.
Final Result:
Win 14-3
Player of the mach: Awarded to Saskia Guscott and Antonia Hempleman-Adams for their determination and commitment on court.
The U11B Team
The U11B Team should be very proud of themselves. They defended well against very strong opposition and attacked with confidence. Varying their passes throughout the game without doubt, seemed to open up the game for them and the ball moved through the court with speed, pace and accuracy. It was a very tight match and enjoyable to watch.
Final Result
Draw 6-6
The U 11C Team
The U11C Team demonstrated some excellent passing and shooting skills despite competing against the 2 tallest defenders ever seen in Year 6! Congratulations to the whole team for displaying such sportsmanship both on and off the court, and well done for mixing up those passes. Using flat and bounce balls into the circle, really helped to combat the height of the opposition’s defenders, and the speed and pace of the ball left All Hallows chasing for some of the time. A great team performance by all involved.
Final Result
Win 4-0
Player of the match: Natalie Wall for her accurate shooting.
The U10A Team
An impressive display by the U10A team left spectators spellbound! Their fast passing down court was well co-ordinated and a pleasure to watch, especially when it culminated in a goal. Throwing the ball into the space ahead of the receiver was key to their excellent performance. The girls have worked exceptionally hard over the last few weeks on their feeding of the ball into the appropriate space, and this finally seems to be paying off.
Final Result
Win 7-4
Player of the match: Awarded to Katie Vasillief for her accurate shooting and well timed moves into and out of the circle.
