Netball fixtures v Monkton Combe Junior School

The girls were outstanding amongst both year groups, and went out to take the game to the opposition. They worked relentlessly throughout the matches , improving on each quarter and focussing specifically on their placement of pass and one-on-one defence.

The U10’s started the afternoon in excellent style, with both teams winning convincingly. Without doubt they had their best performance to date, setting the standards for their Y6 counterparts who were watching in admiration of their ball skills and placement.

The U10A’s won 14-1

Player of the match: Whole team for excellent display of Netball for the full duration of the match.

The U10B’s won 10-1

Player of the match: Charlotte Davies for exceptional timing of the intercept and control with her feet.
 
The U11’s had been watching in awe of their Y5 counterparts, and were ready and raring to continue the success. They used information given to them well, and were happy to try new combinations and passing techniques throughout the match. They started strongly and fought for every ball, determined to maintain their standard throughout the duration of the game. In the end, their excellent performances justified their convincing wins.

U11A’s won 6-1

Player of the match: Isobel Perkins for outstanding timing of the intercept & Bella Plumbly for her consistently accurate shooting

U11B’s won 11-0

Player of the match: Whole team for excellent display of Netball with a special mention to Rosie Knowles for her outstanding accuracy of shooting!
