U10 & U11 Netball Fixture v The Paragon School
Fri 30 Jan, 2009
The U11A team were under pressure from the first centre pass with the huge difference in height between the two teams! They worked the ball well out of defence into attack, but got caught standing behind some tall defence and struggled to get the final ball into the circle. However, when they moved the ball well around the circle edge, they managed to get a well-timed and delivered flat ball into the shooters. The shooters converted nearly every shot which brought confidence to the team. Our team eventually lost 8 - 18 but provided some spirited opposition to worthy opponents.
Players of the match: Charlotte Penney, Izzy Hodgson and Meg Norman for outstanding work-rate and effort.

With the shooters on form and the defence working hard, this was never going to be a game which was lost. With outstanding performances from all the team, the girls finally won 12-1. Well done all!

The U10B team were outstanding, moving the ball nicely around the width of the court. With some inexperienced players making their debut performances, it was only a matter of time before their confidence grew and they were up there playing some brilliant Netball with the others. The girls rotated around many positions showing their versatility and ball skills in both attack and defence. They worked hard as a team and distributed the ball well, mixing up their passing as they went. Leaving their opposition behind on many occasions, it was a pleasure to see such great Netball being played from end to end. The final score meant that the girls won 14-1! It was an excellent performance by all.
