Our Nursery

Every week there is are whole class lessons in Ballet, French, Music, gymnastics and cooking.

As we are the Foundation Stage of a school that continues up to ‘A’ Levels we are fortunate to have 6th form students who assist and Year 6 Junior School prefects who help out every day. We are also assisted by two GAP students from Australia and New Zealand who provide valuable support at crucial times such as lunchtime, when the adult/child ratio is at a premium.

We are an integral part of the whole school and therefore we are able to share the achievements of the rest of the school when we attend assemblies and drama productions. We also make sure we think of others by participating in various whole school charity events throughout the year.

Although we all love being in the Nursery, we make sure we get outside as much as possible too. We have a delightful and well-equipped playground and lawns and gardens and we have unlimited access to the extensive and very beautiful grounds. We try to get outside every day so a sunhat and sunscreen or pair of wellies and a waterproof coat makes sure we’re ready to cope whatever the weather!

Our aim is to learn through our play, do snippets of work together very intensely and then get on and do more good quality playing with the Nursery resources and especially with the lovely friends that the girls get to meet everyday.
