Year 3 Panto Workshop

On Tuesday 11th January Mrs Hind ( one of our parents) came in to lead a Pantomime Workshop with Year 3. The girls learnt about the origins of pantomime and took part in role play activities to explore the different characters. Mrs Hind, who trains the dancers for the annual pantomime at the Theatre Royal, then taught the girls one of the dances from this year's production, Aladdin. The girls had a fantastic time and would like to thank Mrs Hind for giving them such a wonderful experience.
The following day Year 3 went on a trip to see Aladdin at the Theatre Royal. This was made even more enjoyable as the girls had an insight into some of the scenes and characters explored in the workshop. They had a brilliant time, with plenty of booing, hissing and cheering. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the large tubs of ice cream enjoyed by the girls during the interval. Year 3 are now looking forward to performing their own pantomime, "Hoodwinked," on February 18th. Oh yes they are!
