About Us: Leadership
Offering our students the opportunity to become a leader with real responsibilities helps them to develop into valued members of the School and wider Community.
Each tutor group has an elected form leader and deputy whose duties range from representing the tutor group on the Student Council to helping the tutor with day to day business.
Students can also opt to be part of the Charity committee which works with the House Leaders and staff to support many causes on a local, national and international level.
In Year 10 and 11 students are encouraged to apply by letter, election and interview to be part of the Senior School prefect team. From this group the Head girl of the Senior School and her Deputy will be selected. The Prefect team represent the views of the Senior school student body directly to the Head and the Deputy Heads on matters ranging from school uniform to the length of lessons or the quality of reports.
Students also have the opportunity to apply to be elected as House Leaders, where they have responsibility for leading assemblies, arranging teams for House competitions and organising House events to support charities.
In the boarding house the Head of House and her Deputy support the House staff in making the house a friendly and welcoming place to live.
There are many opportunities to become leaders in other areas of school life such as in Sport, Music and Drama.
