'From Our Own Correspondent' - Royal High School sponsors talk by BBC journalist

The Royal High School was delighted to join forces with Mr B’s Bookshop to sponsor an event at The Bath Literature Festival. On Saturday 6th March a packed Guildhall, including a good number of our students listened to a fascinating talk by the veteran BBC correspondent Allan Little who reflected on his meetings with a variety of dictators during periods of major upheaval in Eastern Europe and Africa. His opening remarks drew attention to the need for young people to engage in the fight for liberty and the importance of education in creating minds capable of independent thought. Students met Mr Little beforehand to share their views about journalism, current events and the importance of a well-tuned phrase!
