We know that you want a place where you can study and where you can relax and reflect. On the college site, you will find buildings developed with your needs in mind. We will provide you with a mix of spaces: for independent study; for sixth form specific teaching and learning; for research; for sport and fitness, and for recreation.

Our college café is open throughout the day and the common room is available for meetings and relaxation. A specialist sixth form library allows for independent, quiet study.

All college students will be issued with the latest ‘tablet’ laptop PCs, for your use in lessons, private study and at home. The whole college is a ‘wi-fi’ zone enabling you to access learning resources at all times. ICT support is available on demand to allow you to make best use of the technology.

You will have access to excellent sport and exercise facilities. As well as the college gym to help you keep fit, you can take part in a wide range of sporting activities in our Sports Hall. We have all weather surfaces for team games and tennis courts within the college grounds.

Your learning will take place in specifically tailored subject rooms, laboratories, studios and workshops. If you need a quiet place to talk to your tutor, you’ll find dedicated pastoral rooms that allow for ‘time out’ from the bustle of college life.

The College Library offers a dedicated study area at the heart of the Winfield Centre, available throughout the school day. This attractive, modern facility holds more than 4000 books - many of them new stock to serve the IB and revised A Level courses - and a range of newspapers and specialist magazines.  The arrival of new audio-visual equipment will also allow the Library to double as a meeting or seminar room, for such as guest visits or weekly activities like The Film Club or the English Department’s “Literary Lunches”.   

As a World Heritage site, Bath is famous around the world for its architecture and history. It is a great city in which to be a student and its cultural, sporting and social opportunities will play a part in your enjoyment of the next two years. You will find there are many links between your college and your city community.
