A Levels & IB Diploma: IB Diploma Options

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a programme of study where students choose one subject from each of six groups. Subjects are studied at Standard Level (SL) or Higher Level (HL) and students offer 3 Higher Level Subjects and 3 Standard level subjects.

We offer the following subjects in each group:

Group 1 – Language
English

Group 2 – Second Language
French (B), German (A1 & B), Spanish (B)

Group 3 – Individuals and Societies
History, Geography, Economics, Psychology and Philosophy

Group 4 – Experimental Sciences
Biology, Chemistry, Physics

Group 5 – Mathematics and Computer Science
Mathematical Studies (SL)  or Mathematics (SL & HL) 

Group 6 – The Arts and Electives
Theatre Arts, Visual Arts OR an additional subject from groups 2,3,4 or 5

In addition students also follow the core requirements of the diploma, comprising Theory of Knowledge, an Extended Essay and Creativity, Action and Service (CAS).
