Enhancing Our Sport Facilities

The Girls’ Day School Trust and The Royal High School priority is to put girls first, with their interests, happiness and wellbeing being paramount so that they leave us equipped to take on life’s challenges and ready to make a difference.

The teaching and wellbeing of all our pupils is our absolute priority with sport and activity playing a vital role in developing confidence, resilience and leadership.

Our current sporting facilities require significant investment in order to allow us to nurture our girls’ sporting talent and allow them to grow into happy and confident young women. Therefore, we are planning to develop our sport facility at our senior school whilst being sympathetic to our surrounding environment, our neighbours and the local community.

Our initial development plans presented in May 2016 comprised a new sports centre and a full size all-weather pitch. Following our consultation events in May, the constructive feedback received and additional surveys that have been performed we are reviewing our original proposals and are looking at an alternative scheme, details of which will be shared as soon as they are available.
