Howells visit

We recently had the pleasure of hosting some students from Howell's, our sister school in Llandaff, Wales, for a day filled with fun, learning, and camaraderie. The visiting girls joined our Year 3 and 4 students in engaging Forest School activities and an exciting games afternoon. This memorable day strengthened the bond between our GDST schools and showcased the limitless opportunities for growth and learning that both provide.

As the students from Howell's arrived, they were greeted with open arms by our Prep girls, who were eager to show them around and introduce them to the campus. The visiting students were excited to explore their sister school and engage in the day's events.

The day began with the visiting students joining our Year 3 and 4 girls in a fun Forest School activity held in the scenic grounds of Cranwell House. The Forest School program emphasizes experiential learning and helps students develop skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. The children had a fantastic time working together, learning from one another, and fostering new friendships.

After the Forest School activity, our Year 4 students, along with the visiting girls, headed up to the Senior School for lunch. This provided an excellent opportunity for the students to interact and share their experiences, further strengthening the bond between the two schools.

Following lunch, the students from Howell's, together with our Year 3 and 4 girls, participated in an exciting games afternoon. The event featured a variety of sports and activities that challenged the students physically and mentally while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. The students had an opportunity to try their hand at high jump and hurdles, followed by Ultimate Frisbee! The students thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and excitement of the game, as they worked together and demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship.
