Random acts of kindness

The Head's Study

The current spate of stunning sunrises and sunsets strike me as Nature’s equivalent of random acts of kindness: we don’t know when they will come along but when we witness them they are so uplifting and restorative in that way that only Nature can be so awe-inspiring.

Yesterday saw Random Acts of Kindness Day – I wonder if you noticed? The irony of creating such a day possibly removes some of the random aspect so key to this concept however, much more important is that we are reminded how significant such acts can be. We have become much more insular during the pandemic and, perhaps, out of the habit of surprising others.

Half term provides a perfect opportunity, as we spend time together, to consider what simple gestures we can make to show appreciation for others.
