The Cranwell Curriculum

We teach our Cranwell Curriculum which is based on the Reggio Emilia approach – designed to be engaging, diverse and girl-centred.

It focuses on creative learning and helps girls to become independent thinkers and curious about the world around them.

The three core principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy; the child, the environment, and the teacher.”

Always searching for answers

We keep engagement high by changing our themes regularly and including whole school projects in our learning calendar. We focus on creative approaches to learning, helping girls develop independent thinking and enquiry-based skills, whilst growing their understanding of the world, citizenship and responsibility.

Our girls develop their core ‘learning to learn’ skills:

  1. Relationships
  2. Resourcefulness
  3. Resilience
  4. The ability to reflect
  5. To take risks

These five skills will ensure she is ready for the challenges ahead. This philosophy is part of daily life, helping our girls grow up to be considerate, conscientious individuals with a positive attitude.
