An Outstanding Education
Outstanding teaching and learning are at the heart of what the Royal High School provides, accompanied by individualised pastoral care and opportunities to allow girls to flourish in every area.
We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students, both now and in the future – an experience that enables our girls to excel in whatever their chosen field may be in the ever-evolving world of the 21st century.
As we evolve as a school, we are determined that our facilities and resources should match our top-class levels of teaching and care, ensuring that our students gain the benefits of learning in a truly contemporary environment. We are also dedicated to helping gifted girls, who may otherwise not have the chance to enjoy a Royal High School education, attend our school through the offer of bursaries and support.
An Inspiring Future
Some of the innovative developments and opportunities that we wish for our girls and our school are beyond the levels of funding afforded by school fees and the support of the GDST alone.
The Friends of the Royal High School do an amazing job raising funds to facilitate a wide range of projects and equipment each year, and we could not be more grateful for their support.
Over the coming years, we are aiming to extend the work undertaken by the Friends in order to fund bigger projects and enable some significant development of our school to take place. These include supporting our upcoming new Sports Development, which will benefit our students and our wider community for many, many years to come.
Over our 150 year history, we have been fortunate to benefit from wonderful levels of generosity from parents, alumnae, and friends of the school. Teaching blocks, swimming pools, and halls have been built and pioneering resources provided, thanks to the belief of our school community of the importance of supporting our school, and the impact on generations and generations of girls has been profound.
As we head into a new phase in our growth, we would be so grateful for your continued support. No gift is too small to make a difference, and you can find out about various different ways to give here.
Further news of our ideas to increase our school fundraising efforts will be announced in the months to come, but we would love to hear your thoughts and input at any time to help us create the best possible and most appropriate plans moving forward.
