Cheers of excitement rang out in the Sports Hall on Monday 16th October when the winners of this year’s Alumnae Awards Celebration were announced.
This annual event sees four very special awards presented to girls from across the Senior School, in association with our Alumnae Network. Guests from our Governing Body and our Alumnae Network joined us for the special event, as well as the husband and friends of alumna Sarah Williams, to whom one of the awards is dedicated.
Girls from the Sixth Form spoke to the younger students about their experience of meeting members of the alumnae at various events and reunions and how they had benefited from careers advice via presentations, Q&A sessions and individually connecting with alumnae in fields that they were interested in. Elisabeth Geake, an alumna of Bath High and dear friend of Sarah Williams, reminder the girls of the wonderful meaning behind the ‘Red Squirrel Award’ and spoke touchingly about the importance of kindness and friendship. Alumnae Coordinator, Anna Robertson then spoke about an alumna associated with another of the morning’s award, Hilary Williams, telling the assembled staff and students about her inspiring life, her commitment to equal rights for women and her dedication to our school.
Thank you to all those who attended and contributed to this special event, and hearty congratulations go to our incredibly deserving award winners.
