On 1st July 2017, a glorious gaggle of gleeful former students arrived at our school for our annual Alumnae Reunion. Almost 50 ladies from the Royal High School, Bath High School and the Royal School gathered together to revisit old times, reconnect with old friends and enjoy an afternoon of reminiscing.
Many of our guests were celebrating special milestones, with a great representation of girls from the Classes of 1997 and 2007 raising a glass to their 20 and 10 year anniversaries, respectively.
Whilst scouring photographs of days gone by and hunting through old school magazines, the ladies met current staff, including our Head, Mrs Duncan, and Deputy Heads Mrs Dellar and Mr Briggs. Many of the Class of 2007 had been taught by Mrs Dellar, including her own daughter, Abbie, who had returned with many friends for the day.
A huge highlight was when our guest of honour, Miss Margaret Winfield (Former Head of RHS and Bath High School) addressed the crowd, telling us how happy it made her to see such celebrations and reminding everyone that once they have been a part of our school, they are always part of our school.
Following their bubbles and canapés, the alumnae were taken on tours of the school by our current students, and later headed to the stunning student Art Show. The afternoon culminated in enjoying the sun and spectacle of the RHStival, with picnics, Pimms and music galore.
Another wonderful reunion – we already can’t wait for next year!
