To celebrate Coding Week UK, girls from Nursery to Year 6 have taken part in a coding lesson as part of their computing curriculum this week. At The Royal High Junior School we teach coding regularly as part of the computing curriculum, ensuring that your daughters are well prepared for their futures.
This year we thought it would helpful to introduce the older girls to activities which they could then ‘teach’ to their parents or grandparents who may have never tried coding before. The session was well attended with parents and grandparents guiding Moana to safety, animating their own ‘Google’ logo and creating their own Star Wars game.
For the many adults who had never tried coding before their daughters were the perfect, patient guides. If you were unable to attend or would like to have a go yourself there are a wealth of activities available on the Hour of Code website.
