On Friday, fifteen girls from Y6, who had been extremely busy all week with performances, volunteered to take excerpts of Dr Dolittle out to Oakfield Care Home in Weston. The girls were utterly remarkable with their improvisation, they managed to use some of their dance and performance skills in addition to simply brilliant singing in a really quite small space! The Y6s performed with such a sense of humour in addition to being in superb voice. The performance brought Dr Dolittle to life and was a real treat for all as well a much-valued visit for the residents. We were very proud indeed and the girls were equally pleased to have 'given something back' to the community.
