Yesterday we hosted the first “Your daughter” event of the academic year entitled “Any Questions – A Levels and the IB”.
Mike Nicholson, director of student admissions at The University of Bath, joined a panel of staff and students to take part in a question and answer session. The aim of the evening was to explore the two routes, A levels and the IB diploma programme, available to students in the RHS Sixth Form. Mike and other members of the panel fielded a variety of questions to clarify the differences between the two routes, the merits of each, and how universities (both UK and Internationally) view each of the qualifications.
Numerous parents and students took this opportunity to address specific questions to the panel and were particularly keen to hear the views of our current A level and IB students. Next week we are holding our Sixth Form Open Evening, when parents and students will have the opportunity to speak to subject staff in more detail about the IB and A level courses on offer at RHS.
