For the last two weeks, I have been lucky to be part of the Children's Choir for the 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat Tour' at the Bristol Hippodrome and Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff. It was a great experience because I got to work with an amazing cast, including Joe McElderry as Joseph. I also got to work with some of my friends from Dance and I also made some new friends.
On the first day when we arrived at Bristol Hippodrome, I found out who was in my dressing room and we got ready for a rehearsal. The next day, we had our first show. It was really exciting because it was the first show we had ever done as a group. I also noticed that the Year 4's were there. At the end they were all singing, dancing and clapping along. Even Mrs Millard was singing along! Over the rest of the week, I did four more shows and they were all just as fun as the first one.
In the second week, we had a technical rehearsal and then our first show. It was different in Cardiff because it was much bigger and the dressing rooms were much nicer! I did five shows in Cardiff and then finally on the Saturday after my last show, I stayed at the theatre and watched the other team so that I could see how good it was. It was difficult to see what was happening on stage when I was performing because we weren't allowed to look and when I watched it, I found out what actually happened in the story! Jojo Makes a Splash on Stage! Although the cast didn't have much time to talk to us backstage, Lucy Kay and Kevin would come and tell us all the bits of the show where they had gone wrong! At the end of the show, they congratulated us on our performances. We were then all given a certificate with all of their autographs. Right at the end, after watching the other team, my Mum let me wait for Joe McElderry to come out of his dressing room. We lucky to get his autograph on my ticket and a picture of us together.
If I had the chance to do it again, I would definitely do it because it was such a great experience and was so much fun.
