On Friday 20 October the girls in Year 4 performed their show, ‘Year 4 Entertains in the ‘60s’ and they delighted their audience of family and friends. The girls’ show of their own talents included dance, gymnastics, artwork, drama and music.
The theme of ‘1960s’ gave the girls a great insight into this fascinating decade, as well as providing a wealth of wonderful music and colourful characters. The girls worked incredibly hard and were amazing in every aspect - from preparing their items for the show, sourcing and making props and costumes, learning words and dance moves, organising themselves backstage, coping with quick costume changes, displaying brilliant teamwork and performing with such energy and exuberance.
We were immensely fortunate once again to have the support of Carole and Penny who provided wonderful costumes for the girls. Thank you very much! We would also like to thank Mrs Wright and Nic Orfei who helped with the girls’ hair and behind the scenes. The fantastic set was designed and made by Mr Woods and created a stunning backdrop for the girls’ performances. Mr Woods also provided the lighting and sound for the show, so we would like to say a huge thank you to him for all his hard work.
Thank you to Mrs Stockley, Mrs Brett, Mrs Greenwell, Mrs Bamford and Mrs House for their support and help with the show. Finally, many thanks to the parents, who provided extra costumes and who also proved to be a wonderful audience for the girls on the day. Well done Year 4 – we were very proud of you.
