I really enjoyed my 3 day residential trip at Magdelen Farm! After a long morning on the coach we finally arrived at Charmouth beach, where we got to unwrap all of our lunch goodies brought from home. Lots of energy was used up running around before setting off to Magdelen Farm to make our beds and settle in. Much fun was had at the orienteering that followed; it was definitely one of my highlights. A roaring campfire ended the day nicely before we jumped into our nice neat beds.
Day two got off to an "eggcellent" start - scrambled eggs supplied by the farm's chickens were delicious. Out on the farm we got to explore and see all the animals and I even got to hold a baby goat, something I have never done before. We split into to tribes after lunch, building dens and making potions.
Sadly day three came around too quickly, and we had to clear our bedrooms and pack our bags. We did manage to have some fun, though, before heading for home, as Rose gave us some hard but hilarious challenges to complete.
I was excited about going away, but it was even better than I thought - bring on Year 5!
