The role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work alongside our vibrant and ambitious Music and Drama departments at Royal High School Bath.

This position would be suitable for a recent Music Graduate who is seeking experience of teaching and educational practice in a variety of contexts. This may include working with individuals, groups and ensembles. Alongside this, the successful candidate will be required to take responsibility for the day-to-day running and management of various administrative duties within the Performing Arts departments.

Successful applicants will be offered the unique opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic GDST school and the chance to work in vibrant Performing Arts departments, alongside highly experienced specialist educators.

To a certain degree the role can be tailored to individual skills and future aspirations and the successful candidate will be encouraged to pursue and develop their strengths and interests.

The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Have high personal standards and exhibit total professionalism
  • Enjoy working with young people and be able to establish a rapport and respectful and trusting relationships.
  • Be an enthusistic musician who has the ambition, iniative and energy to contribute to our extensive co-curricular programme.
  • Possess strong organisational skills, be hardworking and competent in the use of IT
