Casual Cleaners

Required from: As soon as possible

Contract term: Zero Hours

Hours: Ad hoc shifts available Monday- Friday 4-6pm for 2- 5 evenings per week

Salary: £9 per hour

The role:

We are seeking to appoint conscientious and reliable Cleaners to join on our team on an as and when basis. As a cleaner your duties will include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets and deep cleaning in all areas of the school. The successful candidate will be trustworthy, hardworking and have a great attention to detail. No experience is required, full training will be given.

This role will suit students in the Bath area looking for part time work.

Casual School Crossing Patrol

Hours: 1 - 7 per week

Contract Type: Casual

Service Area / Department: Environmental/ Highways

Location: Various

Salary: £15,807 pa, pro rata

 

This is a rolling advert, applications are checked weekly.

If you would like to work outdoors, meet lots of people and gain a real sense of community why not join the School Crossing Patrol Service?

Apply now to join one of our 42 school crossing patrol sites and provide an invaluable service to your community helping our children and adults walk to school. You will be on call to support/cover our permanent Patrols.

Full training and uniform will be provided, with the flexibility of morning and/or afternoon shifts being available.

Casual staff are entitled to annual leave based on the hours that they have worked. Any annual leave accrued will be paid rather than taken as time off.

Alternatively, you can apply for a role as a permanent School Crossing Patrol member of staff.

Part Time Cleaner(s)

Required from: As soon as possible

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Various available, between 17.5- 30 hours per week either for one person or as a part time job share. Hours are to be worked Monday- Friday between 7am and 6pm. Term time only plus 1.8 weeks during holidays

Salary: £9.00 an hour

The role

We are seeking to appoint conscientious and reliable cleaners to join our team in the New Year. As a cleaner, your duties will include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets and deep cleaning in all areas of the school. Experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is available. The successful candidate will be trustworthy, hardworking and have a great attention to detail. 

These hours will be initially based at our Senior school sites, however you may also be required to work at Junior School site from time to time. Both sites are situated in Bath.

Head of Prep

The Royal High School Bath is a leading day and boarding school for approximately 650 girls aged 3 to 18. Part of the Girls’ Day School Trust, a family of 25 schools, our aim is to empower each girl to discover and fulfil her full potential through dynamic teaching, independent learning and a wide range of exciting opportunities both in and outside the classroom. Our Prep School (approximately 140 girls) is situated in its own 11 acre grounds at Cranwell House, close to the City centre and 1.8 miles from the Senior School site. We are committed to understanding each girl as an individual, and our creative curriculum enables all our pupils to grow in confidence and make their mark.

Following the appointment of Heidi Hughes as Head of Infants and Juniors at Bristol Grammar School, we seek an exceptional Head of Prep for September 2019. The new Head will join at an exciting time for the Royal High School, with a new Head of the Senior School joining us in September as well. He or she will deliver a vision which builds on our existing strengths to lead the Prep School through the next phase of its development.

Warm, charismatic and highly visible both in school and externally, the new Head will inspire staff, pupils, parents and prospective parents alike. The successful candidate will combine an evidenced track record of successful experience developed as a senior leader, with a demonstrable passion for girls’ education. He or she will offer excellent marketing and communication skills, operational management skills and the capacity to contribute to the broader development of the GDST.

The salary is commensurate with the seniority of the role.

Head of Technology Faculty

Required from: September 2019

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Full time

The role:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to manage our technology faculty from September 2019. The post holder will have overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the technology faculty to ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and effectively and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policy across the faculty.

The successful candidate will be driven to deliver, have proven leadership skills and experience in teaching all key stages.

The post holder will teach their specialism across key stages up to and including the sixth form, potentially including both A Level or IB classes.

Head of German

Required from: September 2019

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Competitive dependent on Experience, based on the middle leader’s Grade 2 scale

The role:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teacher of German to join our vibrant and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages Department. The post holder will take overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the German department to ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with the school policies.

Working closely with the other language subjects, the successful candidate will lead a thriving department and support the Head of Modern Foreign Languages in developing and promoting Modern Foreign Languages throughout the school.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in teaching throughout all key stages and the experience and ability to provide inspirational leadership to our German department. The ability to offer French to at least Key Stage 4 is strongly desirable.
