Current Vacancies

Part-time Minibus Driver

Part Time Minibus Driver Required

Hours: 17.5 hours per week to be work from 07.30- 08.45 & 15.00- 17.15 Monday- Friday, term time only.

Salary: £8.75 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Minibus Driver to join our team at our prestigious independent school in Bath.

You will provide a reliable minibus service for our pupils, transporting them to and from the School, following routes and timetables as instructed. You may be required to take on additional driving duties from time to time to support additional school activities and events.

The successful candidate will have a full clean driving licence (including D1), excellent time management and outstanding interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to relate well to young people, parents, colleagues and external agencies.

Experience of driving passenger vehicles is highly desirable, but not essential. Possession of a current one-day first aid qualification and MIDAS training would be an advantage.

Head of Drama

Required for September 2018

The Role

The Royal High School Bath is seeking to appoint an outstanding and passionate teacher of Drama to take overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the Drama department to ensure high standards to teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policies.

The post holder will have proven experience throughout all key stages including sixth form, and the ability to provide inspirational leadership for our vibrant department with an active and well-supported programme of events throughout the school year. The ability to also teach English to A Level would be an advantage.

Head of Biology

Required for September 2018

The Role

The Royal High School Bath is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Biology to join our innovative and dynamic science faculty. The post holder will take overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the Biology department to ensure high standards to teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policies.

The successful candidate will lead a thriving department, which works closely with other Science subjects within the Science Faculty. You will work alongside the Head of Science/ Chemistry and the Head of Physics to develop and promote Biology and Science throughout the school.

Mathematics Teacher

Required for September 2018

The Role

The Royal High School Bath is seeking to appoint an experienced and outstanding Mathematics Teacher to teach all key stages including our sixth form where we offer both A Level Maths, Further Maths and the IB Diploma at standard level and higher level. We are looking for someone who is energetic, committed and has a creative flair to join an experienced and supportive department.

Mathematics is a popular and successful department at The Royal High School Bath, which consistently achieves exceptional academic results. Experience of teaching Maths at sixth form is essential; experience in teaching the IB Diploma would be an advantage, though not a requirement.

Part-time Finance Administrator

Part Time Finance Administrator

Hours: 2 days (14 hours) per week, Thursday & Friday, term time only + 3 weeks during school holidays

Salary: Grade 2, £17,500 (FTE) pro rata, per annum.

The role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Administrator who will job share with a current post holder to support the Finance Manager in all aspects of the School’s financial and accounting support service.

You will be confident in using all aspects of Microsoft Office and keen to learn how to use other software applications. The ability to work to tight deadlines, to be self-motivated and possess excellent organisational skills are essential. You will work strongly as part of a team with a ‘happy to help’ working attitude.

A relevant Finance qualification or equivalent experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
