On Monday 20th May, 8 girls from Years seven, eight and nine competed in our annual Masterchef final.
The brief was to produce a light main course for a summer lunch party using seasonal ingredients. As always the standard was incredibly high with many elements and high order skills. Very impressive considering the ages of the students. An impossible job for the judges – who were Mr Bryan Clover, Mrs Duncan and Mrs Cunningham. Thank you to them.
The winning dishes were:-
Third Place was Amelia Greenwell in Year 8 who made coronation chicken with a modern twist – with homemade mayonnaise and Meditteranean cous cous.
Second place was Yvie Woods in Year 7 who cooked a summer salmon and pasta salad with homemade pesto and homemade flatbread
This year’s Masterchef Champion in First Place was Lola Record in Year 9 who made a delicious Prawn Pilaf with raita, pomegranate seeds and herb salad with dressing.
All the entrants were amazing and the quality of the dishes restaurant quality. Very well done to all.
