Travel / Exeats / Guardians / Visitors
All guests must sign into the boarding houses with house staff and should be accompanied at all times. All guests must stay in communal areas with the exception of the beginning and end of terms/half terms and exeats when parents or guardians may help the boarders unpack at the discretion of the Housemistress (dependent upon time of day).
These are weekends when boarding pupils go home or to their guardians. We have two exeats in the Autumn and Spring Term and one exeat in the first half of the Summer Term. Exeats are from 4pm on Friday until 5.30pm on Sunday.
We have a service for airport transfers and travel which we use at the school, which comes highly recommended. We will book train tickets and arrange taxis for shorter journeys and we provide an escorted train service to London Paddington for weekly boarders. All we ask of you is to provide the information we need well in advance so we can organise this all for you.
All overseas girls must appoint a boarding guardian who is resident in the UK. The guardian should live within reasonable distance of the school and be capable of providing care in a happy home environment as would a responsible parent. The boarding guardian could be a responsible relative or family friend. We can provide a list of numerous guardianship agencies in or near Bath.
