• I have only positives to share about The Royal High School. My daughter has thrived at this wonderful school surrounded by brilliant teachers guiding her towards her academic aspirations. There is a clear strategy to nurture girls towards independence through the early years of keeping them young to challenging them with countless extra-curricular opportunities. The opportunity to travel reflects the ambitious nature of the school. China, Australia and many more!

  • Just thought you would like some very positive feedback on your recruitment. I have just been talking to our new neighbours, who were very complimentary about yourself and the whole recruitment process at the High School. They were quite keen for the girls to consider mixed education as they had been at an all-girls school in South Africa but the girls having seen the school and met the other girls were adamant that they wanted to stay in an all-girls environment.

  • Our eldest daughter joined the Royal High School Bath Senior School as a full time boarder at the start of Year 7 and is currently in Year 9. From our very first visit to the school, my family and I were struck by the wonderfully positive and vibrant atmosphere generated by smiling girls and cheerful staff. She was immediately made to feel welcome and quickly saw herself as “an RHS girl”; she was over the moon to accept the offer of a place a few months later. We are all delighted she did. The academic staff are superb; they inspire as well as teach, getting the best out of our daughter through positive support, encouragement and that precious commodity, time. Similarly, the boarding house has become an extension to her family; one big team supporting each other through the inevitable highs and lows of growing up. Lastly, outside normal school hours, she has enjoyed a wide range of invaluable extra-curricular activities; hockey in Newcastle, a German exchange to Munster and online tutoring with Harvard University to name just 3 from the past year.

  • Our daughter was so delighted to get a scholarship (a massive grin spread across her face as she read the letter!) - thank you. She loves the RHS and we feel it’s definitely the right school for her, not least because the art is just amazing.

  • To my mind, academic success and an intellectual rigour can be the springboards to a happy and fulfilled life and the Royal High’s record in these areas speaks for itself. The teaching staff are of the very highest calibre and we feel our daughter is in excellent hands with accessible, committed educators creating a world-class learning environment. Our daughter has revelled in the supportive, can-do atmosphere cultivated in the school’s inspiring grounds and setting. The Royal High’s single-sex environment gives girls the space to express themselves and to develop leadership skills and experience; I’m convinced that the school’s all-girl setting has significant benefits and produces strong, confident young women.”

  • We were drawn to the Royal High School by its rich combination of history, heritage and prestige - all, of course, underpinned by a tradition of academic excellence. The admissions process was trouble-free and we found the school to be extremely open, warm and welcoming. Staff are very approachable and this helpful attitude mirrors the Royal High’s effective communications and efficient, business-like manner as regards logistics and organisational matters.

  • School events are popular and very well-supported, reflecting the school’s inclusive ethos and emphasis on the importance of a healthy, outward-looking attitude to the community of school friends and beyond. Even as ‘newbie’ parents, we’ve always found friendly faces and a warm welcome from pupils, staff and parents. Our daughter is thoroughly enjoying her experience at The Royal High School and there’s no doubt we made the right choice for her education. Of course, the head is vital to any school’s success and Jo Duncan is a strong and highly-effective leader whose vision for the school we fully support. The Royal High School has exceeded our expectations and is doing a terrific job in not only cultivating our daughter’s intellect but also helping her to develop healthy friendships, confidence, and self-esteem. It’s a pleasure watching her and her friends thriving in a fabulous learning environment.

  • It was a very positive day yesterday and both girls came away very enthused. We cannot thank you enough for the time and patience you gave whilst taking the family around to meet everyone.

  • Thanks very much for your email, and for taking the time yesterday to show us round your lovely school - I can see why the Royal High girls are so proud!

  • When I was at the RHS [during the tour] you asked me if I could see my daughter there, wow! I knew in my heart that she was in the right place.
