Activities programme

Making memories
Our fun packed weekend programme encourages boarding girls to try new experiences – we actively support our girls as they step outside their comfort zone in a safe, and caring environment.
Every weekend and during the evenings our boarders have access to the on-site fitness suite, brand new Steinway Music School and recording studio, and the Library as well as beautiful grounds overlooking Bath. We have links with other local schools and are fortunate to have access to Bath University's Olympic standard sports facilities.
With the safe city of Bath on the doorstep, our boarders benefit from all that it has to offer. From visiting the Roman Baths and Fashion Museum to shopping in the lively cosmopolitan Southgate area and not forgetting the annual Bath Festival. Your daughter will enjoy trips further afield too – from theatre visits in London to rafting in the Mendips.

Finding your passion
We also offer many activities within our school grounds, including theatre and movie prosthetic makeup workshops, zorbing and baking. We have an onsite pizza oven and frequently enjoy our own 'drive in' outdoor movie theatre. We encourage our girls to embrace all opportunities on offer at Royal High School Bath.

Reaching new heights
Boarders have the privilege of being able to access team sports, training and facilities here, including netball, swimming, fencing and gymnastics. Saturday mornings see a 'sport for all' programme running for girls with every ability.

Stronger together
Boarding girls are encouraged to take on leadership roles in the Boarding Council and the Food Committee. These important roles work with the boarding staff and help shape the day-to-day life of our boarding houses.

Part of the community
Many of our girls become active members of the local community through voluntary work, and there’s plenty of girls who take up the Ten Tors Challenge and Duke of Edinburgh Award while boarding.
