On St George’s Day, one of our boarders was thrilled to receive some beautiful roses and a book from home. In Catalonia, Sant Jordi on the 23rd of April is a huge celebration where books and roses are given to loved ones.
We wanted it to be a special day for Sara despite her being away from home, and loved being part of the surprise for her, as well as finding out about how she celebrates St George’s Day in her part of the world. One of the loveliest things about our boarding community is the supportive mix of different cultures and nationalities.
