Cynthia Cheung (RHB class of 2010) is an entrepreneur, investor, and storyteller connecting founders, investors and ideas to create meaningful global impact. Today, she is the founder of Bloomsberry Capital and Beauty of Each Hour, a portrait-led snail mail club sharing stories of resilience from entrepreneurs and early-stage investors worldwide.
Over the past eight years, Cynthia has supported more than 3,200 young social entrepreneurs through the Youth Co:Lab, an initiative co-led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Citi Foundation to empower young people across Asia-Pacific.
Prior to this, Cynthia founded multiple tech startups and social enterprises focused on improving livelihoods in underserved communities. She later built a career in technology as a software consultant developing AI and analytics solutions.
Cynthia studied Business at the University of Bath and then progressed to complete a Master’s in Global Political Economy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, graduating on the Dean’s List.
Reflecting on her time at Royal High School Bath, Cynthia highlights the lasting impact of her education and describes her time at school as being both inspiring and grounding. In particular Cynthia highlights the strength of an all-girls' environment in building confidence and mutual support.

From life in boarding and the friendships she made, to encouraging her creative exploration, RHB instilled in Cynthia a collaborative mindset that continues to define the way she works today - raising others to help them thrive. Whilst at University of Bath, the BBC highlighted a great example of Cynthia's supportive entrepreneurial streak in action.
Cynthia credits Royal High's supportive environment and inspiring teachers with nurturing her creativity, confidence and collaborative approach; qualities that continue to shape her work today. In particular she remembers Mr Colin Treacher, who encouraged experimentation and resilience in her design which Cynthia says really shaped her creative confidence. Mr Graeme Preedy, Director of Art and Aesthetics who strongly encouraged her to think differently and truly believe in herself.
