The Speech and Drama department were honoured to have Maude in Y10 perform a recital in the Senior section at this year’s ‘Bath Young Actor Award’’ event held on Friday 9th October.

Maude was selected by three adjudicators at this years Mid Somerset Festival back in March as an outstanding performer after winning some of the classes she entered. This is an extremely prestigious event and for Maude to be invited along with 2 others for the Senior section shows what a talented young actress she is.

Maude had to present a 12-minute recital based on any theme whilst incorporating three disciplines of Speech and Drama. She chose the title ‘Past Pain’, taking the audience on a thought-provoking journey through her pieces from Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’, Shelley’s Frankenstein, and the 2024 film ‘A Real Pain’. Her sense of naturalism while performing was captivating and she truly lured the audience in with her realism and authenticity.

After an adjudication by two industry professionals. Maude was one of the runner up’s and took away a prize for all her work and effort, presented by the Mayor of Bath.

We are so proud to have had RHS represented so professionally by Maude and congratulate her on this huge achievement.
