Marking 20 Years of Partnership with the Crane Academy: An RHB Community Challenge

On 18 July 2026, students at our sister school, The Crane Academy in Kitale, Kenya, enjoyed an inspiring Careers Week, where the students were invited to explore a world of possibilities by meeting professionals from a wide range of industries, helping them discover new pathways and inspiring them to begin shaping their futures.
Back in Bath, our school community has continued to support The Crane Academy through sponsorships and fundraising projects including Bags4Schools collections, our Night at the Musicals and Cheese & Wine events, and a raffle at the Summer Festival.
Thanks to the generosity of the RHB community, over £9,000 has been raised since September, helping to enhance educational resources and facilities. With the cost of education and boarding at Crane Academy at around £500 per student per year, this year’s fundraising is enough to support two students from Year 5 to Year 13 — giving them the opportunity to pursue the very careers they explored during Careers Week.
Every contribution has made a real difference, and we couldn't do it without the support of our community.
£20 for 20 – A Community Challenge & Yoga Celebration
Our next fundraising project sees us celebrate 20 years of partnership with The Crane Academy, as we invite everyone in the Royal High community to raise £20 - just £1 for every year of our friendship. You could do anything from washing cars to walking dogs, baking and selling cakes to doing jobs for neighbours, or taking on a sponsored challenge of your choice. However you choose to do it, every £20 will help change lives.
To celebrate everyone’s efforts, we’ll come together on Friday 18 September for a one‑hour, after‑school mass yoga session. We hope to welcome 150 participants, marking both 20 years of partnership with Crane Academy and 150 years of the Girls’ Day School Trust in Bath. Spot prizes will be awarded for most creative way of raising £20 and best fancy dress at the yoga celebration.
