Dancers shine in Panto season

Panto girls
The girls were absolutely superb! Their behaviour and professionalism were exemplary. They were wonderful on and off stage.”

Four of our Prep school pupils have been extremely busy over the Christmas holidays performing in the dance troupe for this year's panto of Aladdin at the Theatre Royal!

Emmanuelle, Louisa, Millie and Etta who all dance with Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance successfully auditioned for the dance troupe and have been supporting the cast of Aladdin for more than five weeks. Yesterday was the last performance so we wanted to celebrate the girls’ wonderful achievement. Together with other young dancers from Bath’s Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance they worked really hard very ably supporting the cast of professional actors which features Michael Chance as the Emperor, Alex Aram as Aladdin, Kaysha Nada as Princess Jasmine, Amy Perry as Spirit of the Ring and Maddison Tyson as the Genie, this year’s pantomime.

A group of pupils, families and staff from Royal High School Bath’s Prep School attended a performance before Christmas and were truly entertained by a fun-packed performance full of jokes and laughter, singing, dancing, beautiful costumes and sets and plenty of audience participation.

Mrs Millard who was at the performance said: “We are very proud of them and we all loved watching them in the panto", while Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance said: "The girls were absolutely superb! Their behaviour and professionalism were exemplary. They were wonderful on and off stage."

Clearly it was not just their teachers who were impressed, one official reviewer said: “The ensemble of backing dancers/singers gave it their all, and the children from the Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance were absolutely charming.”
