Dancing through the pages

Performing Arts

On Thursday 17 and Friday 18 March we hosted our annual dance show, with this years' theme being Dancing Through the Pages.

Year 5 and 6 Dance clubs performed in the show on Thursday alongside Senior School girls who performed again on Friday. Every dance was inspired by a vast range of books and stories, such as The Jungle Book, The Wizard of Oz and Swan Lake.

The Year 5 dance was Shrek and Friends and the Year 6 dance was Matilda and The Revolting Children. It was a fantastic event and a wonderful evening of all forms of dance.

Our dance show is performed annually with a wide range of styles from ballet to tap and jazz to k-pop. This year students performed solos, duets, trios and in groups using their own choreography.

Miss Kovacs, Dance Subject Leader, said: “A huge congratulations to all the girls involved in the production of Dancing Through the Pages. The girls have been dedicated in creating and rehearsing their own choreographies and rehearsing group dances with enthusiasm and professionalism.”
