GCSE Success Opens the Door to Royal High's Future Focused Sixth Form
Results
Royal High is celebrating the achievements of its Year 11 students, whose GCSE results mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they prepare to join the School's innovative Future Focused Sixth Form.
The Class of 2026 achieved more than 20% of all grades at Grade 9, with almost half of all GCSEs awarded are at Grades 9-8 and 98% at Grades 9-4, reflecting the hard work, ambition and determination of this exceptional cohort.
Head, Mrs Heidi-Jayne Boyes, said:Â "We are incredibly proud of all our students and everything they have achieved. These results reflect not only their academic talent, but also their determination, curiosity and commitment to embracing the full range of opportunities available to them.
This year's group has a real sense of adventure and have immersed themselves in every aspect of school life, from sport, DofE and charitable initiatives to leadership roles and the performing arts. Their success is a testament to their hard work, character and determination, alongside the commitment of our teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting them to achieve their best.
We are delighted that so many will continue their journey with us in our Sixth Form, where they will be empowered to pursue their ambitions and prepare for the opportunities of tomorrow."
This spirit of ambition and engagement is reflected in achievements of students performing strongly across a wide-ranging curriculum. Ten students achieved five or more Grade 9s, led by Christine, who secured an exceptional ten Grade 9s. Chessie and Emily each achieved seven Grade 9s, while Phoebe, Maya and Alethea each achieved six Grade 9s.Â
As they look ahead, these students will become the first cohort to experience the full breadth of opportunities offered through Royal High Bath's Future Focused Sixth Form. Combining a wide range of academic pathways with innovative electives and enrichment opportunities, students can tailor programmes that reflect their individual strengths, interests and aspirations.
Alongside their A Level studies, students will have access to distinctive opportunities ranging from Criminology and the CISI Financial Services Certificate to Sports and Dance Leadership and Leiths' Confident Cookery Course. These electives sit alongside A Levels and a specialist enrichment programme, including the new Future Skills programme, designed specifically to equip girls with the confidence, capabilities and mindset needed to thrive in the 21st century.
Whether progressing towards careers in Medicine, Engineering, Business, the Creative Arts, Languages, Sport or the Humanities, this cohort leaves Year 11 with a strong academic foundation, a wealth of wider experience and the confidence to embrace ambitious futures.
We congratulate every member of the Class of 2026 on their achievements and look forward to seeing them flourish as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
