Sixth Form wellbeing room makeover

Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form Wellbeing room (the Lavender room) has been given a much needed make-over thanks to Eloise, a student in year 12.

Eloise reimagined what the Lavender room could look like and then has spent the last month sourcing, designing and creating materials for this wonderful space. Beautiful upcycled furniture, hand-made soft furnishings and positive books were all included as part of the design. Another student, Imogen, gave a helping hand on the Winnie the Pooh painting.

Our Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Newman, said: "My favourite is the emotion jar, which contains thoughtful positive messages, each one carefully folded into an pretty pastel origami star".

The Lavender room is upstairs in the Winfield centre and is a space where our Sixth Formers can go when they need some respite. They ask for the key and can spend an hour there to help them cope with life’s stresses. It is also used for the Sixth Form Clinic with Sister Purchase on a Thursday.
