Summer Music Festival 2026
Senior School, Music
Last weekend we were delighted to come together as a community to celebrate 150 years of the GDST in Bath at our much-loved annual Summer Music Festival.
It was a truly wonderful afternoon, filled with vibrant musical performances from our talented students across both the Prep and Senior Schools. From uplifting ensembles to heartfelt solos, the music created a joyful atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Beyond the performances, there was so much to explore. Guests wandered through our inspiring Summer Art Show, browsed a variety of stalls, and treated themselves to a delicious selection of food, ice creams, and refreshing drinks.
Families and friends gathered with blankets in hand, treated themselves to a delicious selection of food, ice creams, and refreshing drinks, and relaxed in the summer sunshine whilst soaking up an afternoon full of music, creativity, and community spirit. We were also delighted to raise over £700 for our sister school, The Crane Academy, Kenya, through the raffles that we ran throughout the afternoon.
A particularly special moment of the day was a heartfelt tribute to our brilliant Head of Music, Mr Bradbury, as he prepares to embark on new adventures in Malaysia at the end of this term. He will be greatly missed, and we thank him for his dedication and lasting impact on our musical community.
Thank you to everyone who came and made this such a special event.
