Sweet success for our GCSE Business students!
Business
Our GCSE Business students recently enjoyed a fantastic visit to Sweet Little Things Bath, where they had the opportunity to meet inspiring female founders Natalie and Fiona, the mother-and-daughter team behind the successful local business.
During the visit, students heard firsthand about the journey of creating and growing a business, from the initial idea through to establishing a recognised brand in a competitive marketplace. Natalie and Fiona shared the motivations behind starting the company, the challenges they have faced along the way, and the strategies they use to ensure their products stand out from the crowd.
The experience brought key areas of the GCSE Business curriculum to life, giving students valuable insight into branding, marketing, customer engagement and business growth. Seeing these concepts applied in a real-world setting helped deepen their understanding and demonstrated how the theory they study in the classroom translates into everyday business decisions.
As an all-girls school, we are passionate about connecting our students with successful female role models and showcasing the many exciting pathways available to them in the future. Hearing from Natalie and Fiona was both inspiring and empowering, encouraging students to think creatively, entrepreneurially and confidently about their own ambitions.
A huge thank you to Natalie and Fiona for taking the time to share their experiences and expertise with our students. And, of course, sampling some of Sweet Little Things Bath's delicious cookies and macarons was a definite highlight of the day!
