U16s Netball Team qualify for Regionals

Senior School, Sport

On 10th November, the RHS U16 District team competed in the Schools’ District Tournament at Bristol Grammar School. We played five other schools in our pool, beating all of them convincingly to win the pool.

We went into the semi-finals feeling very positive and competed against Kingswood School, playing phenomenally to beat them 16-1.

In the final we faced Redmaids, a team who have won Nationals in previous years. We fought our hardest and we were tied at half time. At full time, we only lost by two goals, a reasonable result against such a strong team. Reaching the final means we qualified and made it through to Regionals!

The entire team played incredibly well, fought for every ball, and showed their determination and commitment to get the result we all wanted. The shooters were on target and no one could get past the defence. It was a fantastic day! We can’t wait to go to Bournemouth in February and compete strongly in Regionals.
