One Day Film School at Royal High

Lights, camera, collaboration! 

We were thrilled to welcome the One Day Film School to Royal High Bath this week, working alongside our GDST sister school Redmaids' High School GDST & Howell's School, Llandaff as part of our Festival of Ideas.

The girls showed incredible teamwork and creativity, collaborating to produce 14 original 3-minute films - writing scripts, filming, editing and presenting their work at the Royal High Oscars where awards were given for Best Performance, Best Technical Achievement and Best Motion Picture. 

Co-founder of Young Film Academy, Ed Boase, commented:

"The trio of GDST schools who took part in the One Day Film School excelled themselves with superb teamwork, creativity and some truly inspired films about iconic female leaders - which made the judging a serious challenge, as they were all worthy contenders for the Best Picture Oscar!" 

It was a truly inspiring, action-packed day where skills were built, confidence grew, and future filmmakers truly shone.
